Caroline Homer is Professor and the Director of the Centre for Midwifery, Child and Family Health, Director of Midwifery Studies and the Associate Dean for International and Development in the Faculty of Health at the University of Technology Sydney. She currently directs the Maternal and Child Health Initiative in Papua New Guinea, a 4 year project focusing on improving maternal and child health through strengthening midwifery and obstetric services. She was an author in the 2014 Lancet Series on Midwifery and the 2014 State of the World’s Midwifery Report. She is also the President of the Australian College of Midwives.
