Aiono Professor Dr Alec Ekeroma ONZM is is a Samoan physician and academic. He was the first Pacific academic to hold a professorial role in a specialised area of medicine in New Zealand. He helped establish the National University of Samoa‘s medical school, and currently serves as the university’s vice-chancellor.
Dr Courtney Choi –
Courtney Choy, a PhD candidate in Epidemiology, is continuing her research in Samoa this year on the health and development of Samoan children as a Yale-Brown IvyPlus Exchange Scholar and a US Fogarty Global Health Predoctoral Student Scholar. Dr Courtney Choi was the founder of the Ola Tuputupua’e “Growing Up” cohort study.
