Litiana Tatukivei is a dedicated midwife and clinical educator at Colonial War Memorial Hospital (CWMH), with a career in nursing and midwifery spanning over a decade. Since becoming a midwife in 2010, she has been passionate about improving maternal and child health, focusing on training new nurses and midwives to provide safe, effective care. Inspired by mentors like Miss Eleni Kata and Dr. Inosi Voce, Litiana emphasises teamwork and breaking down barriers within healthcare roles to enhance outcomes for women and families.

As Vice President (Midwifery) on the PSRH Board, Litiana advocates for the recognition and empowerment of midwives across the Pacific. She has contributed to the Pacific Emergency Maternal and Neonatal Training (PEMNeT) programs, supporting midwives in sharing their experiences and solutions from their home countries. Her leadership fosters collaboration and learning within the midwifery community.

Litiana envisions a future where Pacific midwives take the lead in training, enhancing maternal and newborn health. She also hopes to develop an online platform connecting women to reproductive health services and fostering community-driven research to address local challenges in the Pacific.
