Dr. Leeanne Rose Panisi is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynecologist who has served as the Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at the National Referral Hospital in Honiara, Solomon Islands, since 2012. She holds a Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Leadership and Management, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Committed to medical education and clinical excellence, Dr. Panisi trains interns and registrars while serving as a part-time lecturer for the Postgraduate Diploma of Rural Medicine at the Solomon Islands National University. As an active researcher, she spearheads the development of the Solomon Islands Obstetrics and Gynecology Standard Treatment Manual and related clinical guidelines. She is deeply dedicated to advancing women’s health outcomes across the Solomon Islands and the wider Pacific region.
