
Dr. Falahola ‘oe Langi Fuka is a dedicated Obstetrician and Gynaecologist from Tonga, committed to advancing women’s health across the Pacific. She completed her medical education in Fiji and Samoa, earning a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Fiji National University. Furthering her expertise, she obtained a Master’s in Public Health from St. Luke’s International University in Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Fuka has served as a specialist at Vaiola Hospital in Tonga and has been recognised for her contributions to the field with prestigious awards, including the Best Candidate MMed (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) Award and the AOFOG/RANZCOG Young Gynaecologist Award.
As the PSRH Board Secretary, Dr. Fuka brings a strong commitment to a multi-level, multi-sector approach in addressing women’s health challenges, particularly in resource-limited settings. She sees PSRH as a vital platform for mobilising healthcare workers, promoting evidence-based practices, and advocating for the rights and needs of young Pacific women and girls.
Dr. Fuka is a passionate advocate for gender equity and women’s leadership in healthcare. She recognises the impact of traditional gender roles in limiting progress and strives to create safe, inclusive healthcare environments where women’s voices are heard and their leadership is encouraged. Through her role on the PSRH Board, she continues to drive collaboration and innovation to improve reproductive health outcomes for Pacific communities.
