The Midwifery Leadership Subcommittee of PSRH aims to empower midwives across Pacific Island Countries (PICs) by enhancing their leadership roles and advocating for midwifery excellence in reproductive health services. This subcommittee focuses on professional development, education, and advocacy to support midwifery-led care models tailored to the Pacific context.
Vision and Objectives
The Midwifery Leadership Subcommittee is committed to:
1. Enhancing leadership skills and professional opportunities for midwives in PICs.
2. Strengthening midwifery-led care models to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
3. Advocating for increased recognition of midwifery’s role in advancing reproductive health systems.
