Dr. Nanise Sikiti is a Consultant Gynae Oncology Specialist at Lautoka Health Care, Fiji, and a dedicated Board Member of the Pacific Society for Reproductive Health. Born and raised in Levuka, Ovalau, Dr. Sikiti’s medical journey began at the Fiji School of Medicine, followed by extensive clinical experience at Labasa Hospital, Tukavesi Health Centre, and Colonial War Memorial Hospital, where she earned her postgraduate diploma and master’s in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In 2015, her master’s thesis gained international recognition, earning her an award from the Asia Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AOFOG) and opportunities to present in Malaysia and Vancouver.

Dr. Sikiti further specialised through a global fellowship in gynae oncology with the International Gynaecology and Cancer Society (IGCS), completing her training in 2022. Since joining the PSRH Board, she has contributed her oncology expertise, served as Board Secretary, and strengthened PSRH’s connections with the global oncology community. She plays a vital role in ensuring the IGCS tumor board functions smoothly and is helping to establish the PSRH oncology subcommittee to support cancer care across Pacific Island nations.

Passionate about improving outcomes for women facing gynae cancers, Dr. Sikiti is dedicated to increasing cervical cancer screening coverage, enhancing health education, and training more local gynae oncologists. She envisions a future where Pacific Island women have equitable access to specialised healthcare, with empowered local professionals ensuring no woman dies from preventable cancers.
