Dr Rufina Latu
Dr Rufina Latu is the Technical Officer at the World Health Organization in Papua New Guinea. Rufina Latu is a medical graduate from the Fiji School of Medicine and holds a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of New South Wales. For the past 20 years, she has worked in public health, with a special focus on reproductive health and maternal and child health. Her vast knowledge and experience of health and development in the Pacific was progressively built through working with national ministries of health in various PaciBic countries, Fiji School of Medicine, Secretariat of the PaciBic Community, and more recently with WHO. Dr Latu has contributed immensely to health and development in the PaciBic region. She is currently based at the WHO country office in Vanuatu where she worked to support health systems development and services improvement.
