A foundational workshop teaching ultrasound scanning and providing practical tuition. Getting started in obstetric scanning, including instruction on fetal measuring and biometry, and scanning to ascertain fetal welfare.

Presented by subject matter experts Professor Peter Stone, Dr Sue Belgrave, and Dr Cathy Sorenson. The first day will commence with fetal measuring and biometry, and the second day explores the principles of gynaecological scanning
and practical obstetric scanning using TV scanning and practice on a model. This workshop will also present scanning in the first trimester. 

At the end of the two days attendees will receive a certificate of completion and will qualify for CPD points from RANZCOG.

Professor Peter Stone – the head of the department of Obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Auckland’s Medical and Health Sciences’ Faculty, Professor Stone has a wealth of instructional and research experience. 

Dr Sue Belgrave – the Clinical Director of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at North Shore Hospital, Auckland. 

Dr Cathy SorensonProfessional Teaching Fellow, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, is a specialist in  Anatomy and Medical Imaging.
